Postdoctoral Scholar – BME /Tissue Engineering
The UC Irvine Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) in the Samueli School of Engineering is anticipating openings of postdoctoral scholar positions (Levels L0-L3) in the area of tissue engineering for the 2025-26 academic year.
Seeking qualified candidates with experience in biomolecular and cellular engineering related to the following:
- Musculoskeletal system
- Cardiovascular engineering
- Immunoengineering
- Biomaterials
- Neuroengineering
- Urinary and gastrointestinal engineering
- Spatial cell biology
These positions require a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering or biology and experience in one or more of the focus research area(s) listed above.
This is an ongoing recruitment and positions are dependent upon availability of extramural funding. Initial appointments are for a two-year period and renewal is based on job performance and availability of support. Note: Total duration of an individual’s postdoctoral service may not exceed five years, including postdoctoral service at other institutions.
