Abstract:
The use of stem cells in medicine offers great promise to treat various diseases. This is usually done by delivering stem cells to the diseased organ. However, one also needs methods to follow the proliferation, survival, differentiation and movement of stem cells in living organs. This lecture will review the state of the art in imaging technologies that may be used for this purpose.
