The Inauguration of UC Irvine's Fifth Chancellor

The symposium honoring Chancellor Drake is entitled "The University
and Society in the 21st Century," and will take place on Thursday,
April 6, 2006, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Irvine Barclay Theatre. A
reception will follow immediately on the Barclay Plaza

The investiture ceremony, featuring U.S. Surgeon General Richard C.
Carmona as keynote speaker, will occur on Friday, April 7, 2006, from
2:00 to 3:30 p.m. in the Bren Events Center. A reception will follow
on the terrace in front of the Bren Center.
