Bio: Douglas Hahn specializes in the protection of intellectual property. He is a Shareholder in Stradling’s Intellectual Property Department and heads up the patent and trademark prosecution practice in Newport Beach. He is licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office as well as the state and federal courts in both New York and California.
Since 1998, Mr. Hahn has counseled clients on protecting their intellectual property, with a focus on obtaining and protecting patents and trademarks. He has also litigated patent cases in a broad variety of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, computer hardware and software, electrical, telecommunications, optical, and mechanical. He also has extensive experience in trademark, trade secret, copyright and unfair competition litigation.
He earned a B.S. from the University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College.
The Entrepreneurship Seminar Series provides a real-world introduction to the theory and practice of entrepreneurship. Through a series of presentations by prestigious entrepreneurs and industry leaders, participants will explore the various organizational, strategic and financial challenges facing successful and unsuccessful entrepreneurs. Topics include start-up strategies, business idea evaluation, business plan writing, and introduction to venture capital.
